KAALTV.com had an article about the lenient plea deal with Ashton Larson who had more than a dozen felony charges related to abusive treatment of nursing home residents under her care. Larson was charged with about twenty counts of elder abuse. All of it happening at the Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea where she worked.
In the deal, she pleaded guilty to only three counts of disorderly conduct by a caregiver.
Now the judge has ordered a pre-sentence investigation to determine a sentence, which will be handed down on December 22, 2010.
